What is Throne Of Tides?

Throne Of Tides is a single-player, turn-based pirate card battler where your battered ship takes on three legendary captains. Spend mana on cannons, storms and stolen cards, then dock at the Port to upgrade your ship and rebuild your deck between battles. Your deck never reshuffles, so chucking cards overboard isn't much of a long-term plan.

How to play Throne Of Tides

1

1. Check your cards

Hover over a card or effect to read it. Cards cost mana to play, and your mana refills every turn.

2

2. Drag cards into battle

Drag a card from your hand onto the battlefield to play it. Fire cannons, call down storms or set up a combo with the cards you carry.

3

3. End your turn

Press the End Turn button or Space. Your hand tops back up to four cards each turn.

4

4. React to incoming attacks

Reaction cards charge when you draw them. When an enemy attacks and you have a charge, pick an option in the prompt to dodge, throw half the hit back or save the charge.

5

5. Sink the other ship

Bring the enemy ship's HP to 0 to sink it. A ship also sinks when its deck and hand are both empty, so watch your own supplies too.

6

6. Make a stop at Port

Between battles, rebuild your deck and spend earned coins on ship upgrades. You can improve your hull, mana and cargo hold before facing the next captain.

A few plans worth packing

1

Count cards, not just HP

Your deck never reshuffles, and an empty deck plus an empty hand sinks your ship. Running out of cards is a loss condition, not just an inconvenience.

💡Check your remaining deck and hand before spending cards.

2

Save the spark

Gunpowder stacks on the enemy hull, and Torch turns that setup into a huge explosion.

💡Stack Gunpowder before playing Torch.

3

Don't give Nurgle time

Captain Nurgle steals mana and calls up the Kraken. The source's advice is to hit hard before it hits back.

💡Favor early damage against Nurgle.

Questions before you set sail

Q:

What is the goal?

A:

Face three legendary captains and sink their ships. A ship sinks when its HP reaches 0 or when both its deck and hand are empty.

Yes, progress saves automatically in your browser. Clearing your browser data resets it.

Q:

The source recommends a desktop browser in fullscreen.

Browser aboard, no install

Play Throne Of Tides straight in your browser without an install. A desktop browser in fullscreen is the recommended setup, and your progress saves automatically in that browser.

What's aboard?

1

Every card has two costs

Mana pays for a card in battle; storage space pays for its place in your hold. That cargo limit makes deck building part of the fight.

2

No reshuffle safety net

Played cards don't cycle back into your deck. Every card spent brings you closer to an empty hold.

3

Gunpowder, meet Torch

Stack Gunpowder on the enemy hull, then light it with the Torch for one huge explosion. Subtle? Not especially.

4

Three very different captains

Rumboat brings fury with no defense, Loreley uses sirens, storms and stolen cards, and Nurgle steals mana and summons the Kraken. Each captain has a distinct deck and demands a different plan.

5

The Kraken hits through

Release the Kraken for 20 unblockable damage, paid for in blood and gold. That's one expensive sea monster.

6

Upgrade the battered boat

Earn coins and new cards as you go. Port visits let you improve the ship's hull, mana and cargo hold alongside your deck.

Why take the helm?

🃏

Deck choices have baggage

Your cargo hold limits what you can carry, while mana limits what you can play. Picking cards means weighing both costs.

💥

Set up a proper explosion

Gunpowder and Torch give you a concrete combo to build toward. Stack the powder, then bring the spark.

⚓

A solo captain's scrap

Take on three captains in single-player, turn-based battles, with Port stops to rework your ship and deck between fights.
