How to play Pixel Bowl
Simple controls
Choose a route before the snap. Start a play, drag backward to aim and release to pass. Use 1, 2, 3 or 4 to choose a receiver. After catching, W/S or arrows dodge, X / Space dives, R runs and P pauses. Mobile buttons offer the same actions.
Every down is a choice
Gain ten yards in four downs to earn a new set. Touchdowns score six, followed by a one- or two-point conversion. Try a field goal in range or punt to give up possession. Defense is simulated from your squad and difficulty.
Build your squad
Spend match rewards on training, free agents and facilities. Player levels affect passing range, movement and defense. Stay within the 150 M salary cap. Your career autosaves locally every two seconds.

What you can play here
Three offensive routes
Choose spread, crossing or flood routes before the snap. Defenses vary between plays and react to repeated passes to the same target.
Individual players
Two different wide receivers, a tight end and a running back are numbered 1 to 4. Training changes each player's own ability.
A season to win
Play six regular-season matches. Four wins qualify you for the five-star championship opponent; each new season reshuffles the schedule.
Free play, local progress
No download, account or in-game payment is needed. Coach points come from matches, and your career stays in this browser.
Tips for your next drive
Look for space, not a fixed number
Compare the four receivers before passing. Change route or target if a defender is covering the player you used last time.
Dive when the yards matter
After a catch, use W/S or the arrow keys to avoid defenders. Press X to dive when the first-down line is within reach.
Train the player you rely on
Raise QB ability for passing range, train individual receivers for movement and contested catches, and improve defense to reduce simulated opponent scoring.
Before you play
Is Pixel Bowl the official Retro Bowl game?
No. Pixel Bowl is an independent browser football game with original teams and graphics. Retro Bowl Unblocked is a separate game page on this site.
Does unblocked mean it works on every network?
No. People often use retro bowl unblocked to look for browser access without installing an app. Pixel Bowl runs on this page, but school, workplace and device restrictions still determine whether the page is accessible.
Do I need a download or account?
No. Pixel Bowl runs on this page without registration or in-game payments. You can train players with your initial coach points before the first match.
Can I play on mobile or Chromebook?
Yes, in a modern browser with Canvas and JavaScript. Use keyboard or mouse on a computer and touch buttons on mobile. Landscape gives more space. Availability depends on your device and network rules.
How is progress saved?
Your career is stored in this browser on this domain and shared across language pages. Reloading restores scores, time and downs, restarting the current play. Pending conversions are kept. Private mode, cleared site data or another device may lose access to the save.
Can I pause the match?
Use the pause button or P while the field is focused. Active plays pause when you leave the window or open another game section. Each quarter uses a two-minute clock at four-times real speed; opponent drives consume simulated time. A tied fourth quarter leads to one overtime period.
How does defense work?
You control offense. Opponent drives are simulated from your defense player, rehab facility, difficulty and opponent strength. Train your defense and upgrade recovery to reduce scoring chances.
How do I win the season?
Win at least four of six regular-season matches to enter the final, then beat the five-star opponent. Gain ten yards within four downs to keep your drive alive, and vary your passing targets.
Do stars and the difficulty setting mean the same thing?
No. Opponent stars are fixed for each named team. Easy, normal and hard separately affect defensive reactions, errors and scoring chances. Try easy first, then move to normal as you learn the controls.
