What is Sir Retry?

Sir Retry is a hardcore 2D platformer set in a burning medieval kingdom, where the king wants a fortress taken and you're his favorite hero for the job. Eight handcrafted levels stand in your way, while a herald comments on every death and the king breaks the fourth wall to tease you. Apparently, royal service doesn't include dignity.

Use A / D or ← / → to move, and Space / W / ↑ to jump. Hold the jump key longer to jump higher.

2

2. Swing or return to the bonfire

Game features

1

Eight handcrafted levels

Spikes, goblins, bridges, and checkpoints fill eight levels in a burning medieval kingdom. The fortress isn't going to take itself.

2

A herald for every horrible landing

Every death gets commentary from the herald, turning your failures into dark medieval humor.

3

A king with no fourth wall

The king talks directly to you and teases you like a friend in the room. He sometimes even throws in a fake pause.

4

Coins, timers, and three stars

Each level offers a three-star goal: collect every coin and beat the timer. Just finishing isn't the whole challenge.

5

Shared-keyboard sabotage

Two players share one keyboard in a mode inspired by Ultimate Chicken Horse. Build traps and sabotage your friend.

6

Three language options

Sir Retry includes English, Slovak, and Ukrainian.

A few things to remember

1

Jump height is in your hands

Story-mode jumps go higher when you hold the jump key longer.

💡Hold Space, W, or ↑ longer when you need more height.

2

The bonfire has a shortcut

Holding Q in story mode self-destructs your hero and sends you back to the bonfire.

💡Hold Q when you want to return to the bonfire.

Why play Sir Retry?

💀

Failure gets a punchline

The herald comments on every death, so your platforming disasters become material for dark medieval jokes.

🏆

More than reaching the finish

The coin-and-timer requirements give you a three-star target on all eight levels.

⚔️

Sabotage someone you know

Local two-player trap building lets you turn a shared keyboard into a very personal rivalry.

Play Sir Retry in your browser

Jump straight into Sir Retry through the browser without installing a download. Keep the keyboard handy; local two-player mode also uses the mouse for building.
