A cosy shared mining adventure
Drillmates is a co-op mining game played in your browser, with shared underground worlds for up to 16 miners. Dig through rock, collect eight kinds of ore and race back up before your fuel runs dry.
From rusty drill to sky-high upgrades
Drive and drill
Use WASD or the arrow keys to drive. Push into rock to drill and use Space to fly.
Mine and sell
Dig up copper, silver, gold, rubies, diamonds and other ores, then return to the surface to sell your cargo.
Build a team attack
When a battle ring appears, anyone who drives in joins the fight. Choose moves from Drill, Blast, Spark, Lure and Patch, or press F to run.
Use hubs and buildings
Press E to use buildings, Q for quests and G for the field guide. Outpost 1 sits at 60 metres, while the Sky Dock unlocks after defeating the Burrow King.
What you can dig into
Shared mining worlds
Join a world with up to 16 miners and see other players’ tunnels, pods and hats. Clearly labelled bot miners keep things moving when the mine is quiet.
Eight kinds of ore
Explore rock layers and caves for copper, silver, gold, rubies and diamonds. Ground slowly refills, and every deeper trip can reveal more.
Team-based battles
Battle creatures in turn-based fights using five levelling attack tracks. Lure one creature for a teammate’s Drill, stun it with Spark or patch everyone back up.
Two bosses to beat
Challenge the Burrow King below the Lair Gate, then take on the Storm Roc around the Sky Dock. Teams can include up to eight players.
Two hubs and quests
Visit underground Outpost 1 or the Sky Dock above the clouds. Both hubs include story quests and side jobs.
Pod upgrades and customisation
Spend mining earnings in the Workshop to improve your pod and dig deeper. Earn paints and hats, then customise your miner with C.

A few handy mining habits
Watch that fuel tank
Your pod starts with a small fuel tank, so filling the cargo bay is only half the trip. Fly back up and sell your haul before the fuel runs out.

Make attacks cooperate
Lure and Spark can set up stronger team attacks instead of leaving everyone drilling at once. Patch can keep the group in the fight.
